JBL's Contractor Series surface-mount speakers are loaded with complication-reducing innovations. Rugged molded high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) enclosures balance mass, strength, and resonance, perfectly complementing their respective transducers. The symmetrical 100° x 100° dispersion geometry delivers precise directability and control. Compact design dimensions and textured, ready-to-paint exterior surfaces make the Control Contractor Series unobtrusive in any decor. JBL's Invisiball mounting system (patent pending), innovative bracketing solutions, and factory-installed autoformers take the headaches out of installation.

Extensive use of high-tech materials adds years to speaker life expectancy while increasing weather resistance. The Control 25-1 exceeds MilSpec 810 for humidity, salt-spray, temperature & UV, and passes MilStd-202F for salt spray and ASTM G85 for acid-air plus salt spray. For extreme environments, MTC-23WMG-1 WeatherMax grilles and MTC-PC2 protective panel covers (both sold separately) may be added to increase the IEC rating from IP-44 to IP-55.
